Pax and Pasta

Women sharing a meal while planning for peace.

Form a Pax & Pasta Get Together In Your Community Via Our Online Community

In creating the shift from fear-based public policy to positive public policy, the leadership of women will be essential. And where we focus our attention, we create movement.

Pax & Pasta Get Togethers are an opportunity for women to focus on how they can move their local community, their state, our nation, and the world toward the peaceful resolution of conflict, while sharing a meal together.

These can be covered dish dinners in a home, or dining together in a fine restaurant or at the local pub. You choose the forum and create the list if invitees, but make creating peace the agenda item.

Be sure to include women with diverse interests, of diverse cultures and religions. The sharing of different perspectives and experiences will lead to a holonomous approach, the only way to realistically analyze problems and find workable solutions.

Create a tone of mutual respect, an attitude of openness toward different points of view, and a commitment to honor the dignity of each person who attends. When this approach is taken it assures success. The differences that we thought separated us melt away in this environment. It is here that we discover our shared desire for lives filled with peace, harmony and security.

Take an inventory of the resources that are present among those who attend your Pax & Pasta Get Together. Discuss projects that can be addressed with the resources you have at hand. And then get to work. Begin with a small project. As you meet with success, you will be emboldened to take on more.

And once you get started, please keep us posted on how it goes!
